Enhancing the work of Child and Youth Advocacy Centres in Atlantic Canada.
A coordinated response for
children and youth who have experienced abuse
Child and Youth Advocacy Centres bring together the different systems and services that may be involved in the investigation, response, and treatment of child abuse. By strengthening collaboration and communication across these systems, CYACs aim to provide children, youth and families with one coordinated mutidisciplinary response that is client-focused and trauma-informed.
If you are concerned about a child or youth:
Call 911 if the child or youth is in immediate danger.
Contact the Child Protection agency in the province where the child or youth lives.
